Brussels, 05 November 2024. The participants of the Eurovent Product Group ‘Evaporative Cooling Equipment’ (PG-CT) re-elected Laurent Petiot (BAC) as Chairperson. He will be supported by Nicolo Passaro (MITA) as the group’s newly elected Vice-Chairperson.
During the recent PG-CT meeting held in Brussels, the group’s participants unanimously re-elected Laurent Petiot (General Manager France Benelux Maghreb at Baltimore Aircoil Company EMENA) as the group’s Chairperson. He will get the support of the newly elected Vice-Chairperson of the group, Nicolo Passaro (Technical Marketing Manager at MITA Cooling Technologies). The position of Vice-Chairperson had remained vacant for two years until the members elected Passaro, who has been an active participant of the group and has extensive experience in the cooling equipment sector. Laurent has been involved in heat transfer equipment within the cooling tower industry for more than 30 years. They will both serve the mandated positions for the next two years.
Nicolo Passaro stated that: “I believe our priority should be to promote participation among manufacturers and stakeholders to provide additional ideas and initiatives. Then, communicating and promoting the group activities to emphasise our relevance in the heat rejection industry is a must. We must not forget that our technology is a proven one, and it provides multiple benefits to the market, above all its efficiency. I would like to thank the PG-CT participants for bestowing their trust in me as the group’s Vice-Chairperson. I believe we will work together well for a good cause.”
The Eurovent Product Group ‘Evaporative Cooling Equipment’ covers wet cooling towers, open circuit towers, fluid coolers, closed circuit towers, evaporative condensers, hybrid models and components related to these products (e.g. fans and drift eliminators). It is the main working group dedicated to cooling tower manufacturers. This group has members from around the EU and Türkiye and is supported by Eurovent Member Associations on a national level.
