During the 66th Annual Meeting of Eurovent, Francesco Scuderi has been appointed Secretary General of the association. He succeeds retiring Felix Van Eyken and will be supported by new Deputy Secretary General Stijn Renneboog.

DG Energy has provided on 13 May 2022 the stakeholders in the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Consultation Forum (EELCF X03609) with an update. A selection relevant for Eurovent members is abstracted below.

On 12 May 2022 a stakeholder meeting took place where the results from the desk research and ongoing test were presented. The tests would end by June. A reporting would follow in the 2^nd part of 2022.

The European Parliament’s ENVI Committee published its draft opinion on the EPBD proposal. It notably underscores the importance of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).

Brussels, Rancate, 17 May 2022. Eurovent welcomes Filtech, a Swiss manufacturer of ventilation filters. With Filtech becoming the newest Eurovent Corresponding Member, the association grows by one of the leading manufacturers in the ventilation sector.

New Technical and Regulatory Affairs Officer joins Eurovent in the Regional Office in Milan. He will be involved in monitoring and interpreting relevant regulatory developments and other technical topics for Eurovent members.

Brussels, Marne la Vallée, 10 May 2022. Aereco, one of France’s leading manufacturers of hybrid and mechanical ventilation systems has been formally approved to join the Eurovent family during a recent online meeting of the association’s Board of Directors.

The first report on the revision of the 2016 GPP criteria for Office Buildings was released in March. The scope has been extended to all type of buildings and the criteria would be finalised by mid-2023.
