The Japanese association JRAIA has submitted a discussion paper on the evolving of the GWP values in different IPCC Assessment Reports. At present the values of the 4th IPCC report are used as reference. During the upcoming ICARHMA meeting its members will look at possible impacts. 

EFCTC started a socioeconomic assessment for the PFAS restriction. EFCTC will launch a stakeholder survey to collect more information on the F-Gas industry sector on 04 April. The survey will run for 4 weeks, and trade associations and downstream users are invited to participate. 

The EC has published (03 March 2022) the call for evidence for an impact assessment on the review of the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling regulations for space heaters and water heaters.

A leaked version of the Regulation on Ecodesign for sustainable products repealing the Ecodesign Framework Directive and amending the Regulation on market surveillance and compliance of products appeared on 2 March 2022. 

The review of Regulation (EU) 327/2011 started in 2014 but after the first Consultation Forum in 2015, the process suffered a significant delay due to concerns raised about cascading and large fans. The next Consultation Forum takes places on 1 April 2022.

In 2021, the Commission adopted a proposal for a new CBAM which will put a carbon price on imports of selected products. The future impact of CBAM on downstream industries such as HVACR does require addressing.
