At the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Consultation Forum meeting of 28 February 2023, the European Commission presented its working document for a new Implementing Regulation laying down operational details for EPREL. 

Eurovent, together with 11 leading European associations and global partners active on the European market, call on the European Parliament's Environment Committee to reject amendments which ban fluorinated gases, jeopardising the EU’s climate and energy security goals.

Eurovent will participate at Warsaw HVAC Expo, a trade fair of heating, ventilation and air conditioning in Poland, from 01 to 03 March. The fair presents HVAC manufacturers who will be showcasing heating systems, heat pumps and heat exchangers, refrigeration systems and measurement technologies.

The Eurovent Team is going to be at Euroshop from 27 February to 02 March. Euroshop is one of the leading world retail trade fairs where manufacturers offer their products and solutions for retail industry by showcasing their retail technology and store designs.

Kevin Faltin, Executive Director of the Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International and Francesco Scuderi, Secretary General of Eurovent announced a 3-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two manufacturer associations.

During the meeting of the Eurovent Product Group ‘Evaporative Cooling Equipment’ (PG-CT) on 27 October 2022 at the Eurovent Summit in Antalya, the participants elected Laurent Petiot as Chairman and Ulf Bergmann as Vice-Chairman of the Group. 

On 7 February 2023, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published the PFAS restriction proposal. It holds suggestions for an unlimited exemption for refrigerants in HVACR equipment in buildings, where national safety standards and building codes prohibit the use of alternatives.   

The European Commission recently confirmed the Consultation Forum on Ecodesign and Energy Labelling of air conditioners and comfort fans, energy labelling of local space heaters and shared the Ecodesign draft regulation.

The Eurovent Product Group ‘Energy Recovery Components’ has published a new Recommendation 17/13 on the recommended standard for interoperability between Energy Recovery Components (ERC) DLL’s and Air Handling Units (AHU) selection software.

On 24 January 2023, the ITRE Committee voted the opinion on the Revision of the F-Gas Regulation. The Swedish presidency’s proposed compromise was discussed within the European Council on 20 January.
