COVID-19 safety measures extended to 31 December 2020

In order to safeguard the health and wellbeing of Eurovent members and partners during the COVID-19 pandemic, and to provide for certainty regarding planned meetings, it has been decided to continue hosting all Eurovent meetings virtually until the end of the calendar year. Further updates will be communicated to members in due time.

The exhibition ISK-SODEX Istanbul 2018 has confirmed that its Buyer Delegation Programme received the support of the Turkish Ministry of Economy and is going to be organised by the Turkish HVAC&R Exporters' Union (ISIB). Europe’s leading manufactures of Air Handling Units (AHUs) are currently developing a comprehensive methodology for Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis. The future Eurovent Recommendation is going to establish a new standard for LCC calculation on the market. The new methodology will contribute to a level-playing field for all manufacturers. It is going to provide a straight-forward and sound way to estimate the total costs related to AHUs throughout the entire lifespan of the system.  

Seminar to explain how to select EN ISO 16890 rated air filter classes for general ventilation applications while making effective use of its Indoor Air Quality potential

On Tuesday, 23 January 2018 from 13:30-14:30h (Brussels time), the Eurovent Association is going to host a Webinar on its new Recommendation 4/23 (2017) on the “Selection of EN ISO 16890 rated air filter class for general ventilation applications”. All HVAC professionals dealing with ventilation systems are invited to join, independent from their Eurovent membership. After a general introduction, participants are invited to ask questions. Long-serving Chairmen Kees van Haperen and Gunnar Berg pass on leadership to younger generation

Zoetermeer, 5 October 2017. During their meeting of the Eurovent Association Product Group ‘Air Handling Units’ in Zoetermeer, Netherlands, members have elected Mr Martin Lenz (TROX GmbH, Germany) as their Chairman and Mr Andy Bijmans (Systemair B.V, Netherlands) as their Vice-Chairman. The two take on their positions from Mr Kees van Haperen (Rosenberg, Netherlands) and Mr Gunnar Berg (Swegon, Sweden). Van Haperen had been leading the Product Group since 2002. Both of them had been active participants since the 1990s and now decided to pass their Chairmanship on to a new generation.

Müller will be the first-ever Swiss to chair Europe’s major grouping of manufacturers of energy recovery devices for ventilation

Brussels, 2 October 2017. During the meeting of the Eurovent Association Product Group ‘Energy Recovery Components’ in Brussels, Belgium, on 28 September 2017, members have elected Mr Peter Müller as their new Chairman, effective as of 1 January 2018. He is one of Europe’s leading experts in this field and Managing Partner at POLYBLOC AG (Switzerland) – a pioneer in advanced heat recovery systems, which has been producing heat exchangers since 1982.

Various ventilation-related Product Groups meet in the Netherlands from 4-6 October

In a further move to increase cooperation between our members, most upcoming ventilation-related Product Groups meetings (AHU, CUR, ERC, FANS, FIL) will be held within three days in Zoetermeer, Netherlands, from 4-6 October. Together with our Dutch member VLA, a side-programme including a panel discussion with EU decision-makers is going to be organised. Members that have not yet signed up should do so as soon as possible.

Members of the Eurovent Association and Eurovent Middle East jointly raise awareness on Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) through a wide-ranging, interactive, open-source campaign

Brussels, Dubai, 24 April 2017. During an online press conference, the Eurovent Association (Brussels) and Eurovent Middle East (Dubai) have officially launched #IAQmatters – a joint initiative of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) manufacturers in Europe and the Middle East, which provides solutions to ensure a healthy indoor climate. #IAQmatters was developed in close cooperation with leading experts such as Prof. Geo Clausen from the Section for Indoor Climate and Building Physics at Denmark Technical University (DTU). Prof. Stefano Cognati, President of REHVA, is one of the campaign’s patrons.

The first edition provides for a hands-on introduction to air filters for general ventilation

Brussels, 3 April 2017. The Product Group ‘Air Filters’ within the Eurovent Association has released the first edition of its guidebook ‘Air Filters for General Ventilation’. On 28 pages, the document provides for a hands-on introduction to all important aspects related to air filters. It constitutes the first of many measures within Eurovent’s upcoming #IAQmatters awareness raising campaign.
