The Roadmap looks for general comments of the interested persons and stakeholders. The Consultation is the second phase and consists of detailed questionnaires. The recent meetings on the Circular Economy Action Plan (CEAP) and the Methodology of Ecodesign for Energy related Products (MEErP) address material efficiency. In response to the European Standardisation M/543, the joint CEN/CLC/TC 10 has developed a set of standards dealing with Material Efficiency Aspects for Ecodesign.
The Circular Economy Stakeholder Conference took place on 3 and 4 November and was attended by Orgalim. From the summary made by Orgalim, the main elements for the HVACR industry have been abstracted. These are complemented with the first elements relating to the revision of the MEErP.
On Monday, 9 November 2020, the European Parliament adopted the Recovery and Resilience Facility, as part of the 2021-2027 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) to tackle the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. The final adoption requires agreement of all 27 Member States and should be forthcoming. In addition to the earlier communication on the RRF, the Commission has now published guidance and templates that Member States can use if they wish to qualify for funding. It is reminded that the national proposals must be introduced by 30 April 2021.
