Highly regarded AHU expert from Germany to provide keynote presentation

Dubai, 12 April 2018. Eurovent Middle East has just announced a flagship workshop on Air Handling Units. The free-of-charge event is part of the association’s ‘HVACR Leadership Workshop’ series. It is going to take place at LeMeridien Dubai Airport on 30 April 2018 at 6PM and includes a networking dinner. With Mr Martin Lenz (Lead Development Engineer at TROX and Chairman of Eurovent’s Product Group AHU), Europe’s leading expert in this field is going to join the event. 

New certification scheme by Eurovent Certita Certification

NEx (Nature of Excellence) is the new certification label by Eurovent Certita Certification, which enables HVACR manufacturers to validate sought-after criteria of their top-rated products which go beyond performance rates.

Eurovent was part of the official inauguration in Madrid

On 27 February 2018, Eurovent attended the inauguration of its Associate Member CEIS’ new testing facility. The project, which was under development for a little more than two years, promises to open doors for a new generation of products and testing opportunities – for the benefit of certification bodies, manufacturers and other organisations in the air conditioning market.

Registration for Eurovent Middle East's next HVACR Leadership Workshop now open

The Eurovent Middle East association has announced the next edition of its free-of-charge ‘HVACR Leadership Workshops’, which is going to take place at LeMeridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre on 26 March 2018. This time, leading air filtration experts from the UAE and Europe are going to elaborate on state-of-the-art air filtration, its effects on Indoor Air Quality and health. As a special guest, one of Europe’s leading filtration experts is going to provide a keynote presentation.

Consultation Forum Sub-Group Suppliers to take place on 12 March 2018

On 22 December 2017, the European Commission released its ‘draft exchange model’ to test the future database EPREL, which is going to be of relevance for many Eurovent members. A first demonstration of EPREL will be given during the upcoming meeting. Eurovent is going to attend the meeting and provide an in-depth summary. A webinar is going to follow. 

Refrigeration & HVAC Indonesia exhibition regarded as hub for European companies

Jakarta, 19 February 2018. During an official ceremony in Jakarta, the Eurovent Association has signed a partnership agreement with Indonesia’s leading HVACR exhibition: Refrigeration & HVAC Indonesia (26-28 September 2018, Jakarta International Expo). Through the continued partnership, Eurovent underlines its commitment to support and promote the use of energy efficient equipment in Southeast Asia’s largest country. The Association already supports the Indonesian government with the development of cold chain legislation and infrastructure.

First meeting on the scoping study to identify areas for possible preparatory studies

The first meeting with stakeholders on the scoping study took place on 17 January 2018. The aim is to define the product scope, identify focus areas and the direction to take for the subsequent preparatory study, and ultimately determine and draft policy options in line with the Ecodesign Directive.

On 30 March 2019, the United Kingdom will leave the European Union and then become a 'third country'. Subject to any transitional arrangement that may be contained in a possible withdrawal agreement, the European Union rules no longer apply to the United Kingdom. This will impact importers, authorised representatives and conformity assessment procedures.
