EEDAL 2021 to take place from 8 to 10 November 2021 in Toulouse, France

After two events outside Europe (2017 USA, 2019 China), the 11th International Conference on Energy Efficiency in Domestic Appliances and Lighting (EEDAL) conference returns to Europe in 2021. In 2021, EEDAL will be organised jointly with the International Symposium on Science and Technology of Lighting and will take place from 8 to 10 November in Toulouse, France.

The event will take place from 14 to 17 February 2021 in Turin, Italy

In light of the coronavirus pandemic and the situation in Italy, the Organising Committee of RoomVent 2020 has decided to postpone the Conference. Organised by Politecnico di Torino, the 15th RoomVent Conference will take place from 14 to 17 February 2021 in Turin, Italy.

With the introduction of the ‘Copilot Certificate’ for building performance, Eurovent, REHVA and synavision set a new European standard for the construction industry. The signing of the agreement on 11 October paved the way for the launch of the world's first building and facility certificate. Builders use the certificate to ensure that their buildings undergo effective quality management.

From 2 to 5 October 2019, the Eurovent Association, Eurovent Middle East, and Eurovent Certita Certification are going to be at ISK-SODEX 2019 – one of the largest international exhibitions for HVACR, Pumps, Valves, Fittings, Water Treatment, and Insulation. Eurovent will be at your disposal for requests concerning legislation, standardisation, certification, and general industry developments.

After eight conferences in Europe, the 9th International conference on Energy Efficiency in Domestic Appliances and Lighting (EEDAL) took place in Irvine, California, USA. EEDAL is becoming an international event and the 10th EEDAL conference will take place in China, co-organised with the China National Institute of Standardization.

Update on international developments

In the last week of October, the Japan Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association (JRAIA) hosted the 2018 Annual meeting of the International Council of Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Heating Manufacturers Associations (ICARHMA) – of which Eurovent is a founding member. This years’ meeting proved to be very interesting with an outlook of possible future and disruptive issues. 

Eurovent’s Swiss member association continues successful development path

On 29 May 2018, our Executive Director Morten Schmelzer has participated in the 14th General Assembly of the Swiss industry association and Eurovent member ProKlima in Lucerne. All Eurovent member companies and associations are cordially invited to their upcoming “Kadertag der Gebäudetechnik” (Day of Building Technology), which takes place on 6 November 2018 in Baden.

Call for international players to boost development and quality standards

South East Asia’s (SEA) HVACR market with Indonesia’s dominant share is set to be worth 13,63bn USD by 2023, hitting a CAGR of 9,30% between 2017 to 2023. As the country with the largest economy and population in SEA, Indonesia leads the regional market pinning strong influence on the demand surge due to its widespread infrastructure and robust industrial development. Eurovent was part of the official inauguration in Madrid

On 27 February 2018, Eurovent attended the inauguration of its Associate Member CEIS’ new testing facility. The project, which was under development for a little more than two years, promises to open doors for a new generation of products and testing opportunities – for the benefit of certification bodies, manufacturers and other organisations in the air conditioning market.
