The Eurovent Association has released the fourth edition of the widely-applied Eurovent Recommendation 4/21 – ‘Energy Efficiency Evaluation of air filters for general ventilation purposes’. The updated guidelines set out a new method for the determination of the annual energy consumption for filters operating at an airflow rate other than nominal.
As outcome of the two-year Special Project ‘Evaporative Cooling 2030’, the Eurovent Association has published a set of documents including a new Eurovent Recommendation and a dedicated flyer, providing a clear overview of what the evaporative cooling industry saves in terms of CO2 emissions today and what it can save tomorrow. These documents are complemented by the first-ever European evaporative cooling industry monograph providing a clear indication on its size and scope.
Brussels, 1 October 2018. Following its meeting during the Eurovent Summit in Seville, the Eurovent Product Group ‘Air Filters’ has published an updated version of its popular Recommendation 4/23 – “Selection of EN ISO 16890 rated air filter classes for general ventilation applications”. The 2018 version is aligned with European standardisation developments. It includes a hands-on table, which shows that required filtration efficiencies can be reached by using different filters or different combinations of filters.
REHVA and Eurovent have released their guidebook on heat recovery ventilation. It includes the latest ventilation technology and knowledge about the ventilation system performance, intended to be used by HVAC designers, consultants, contractors, and other practitioners. This first joint guidebook of REHVA and Eurovent is part of an increasing cooperation between the two associations, with more publications and joint initiatives to follow.
On Tuesday, 23 January 2018 from 13:30-14:30h (Brussels time), the Eurovent Association is going to host a Webinar on its new Recommendation 4/23 (2017) on the “Selection of EN ISO 16890 rated air filter class for general ventilation applications”. All HVAC professionals dealing with ventilation systems are invited to join, independent from their Eurovent membership. After a general introduction, participants are invited to ask questions. Brussels, 14 December 2017. The Eurovent Association has officially released the first edition of its long-awaited code of good practice Eurovent 4/23 (2017) on the “Selection of EN ISO 16890 rated air filter classes for general ventilation applications”. The publication is addressed to all HVAC professionals dealing with ventilation systems, particularly design consultants, facility managers and manufacturers of equipment incorporating air filters. It was jointly developed by participants of the Product Group ‘Air Filters’ (PG-FIL).
The F-Gas Regulation is obliging market players to aim for low or the lowest GWP refrigerant solutions. In addition to considering natural refrigerants, ASERCOM has evaluated the currently known public test results of new proposes synthetic refrigerants alternatives.
Brussels, Nuremberg, 12 October 2016. During a dedicated specialist forum at the Chillventa 2016 on 11 October in Nuremberg, the Eurovent association has released Eurovent 9/12. This industry recommendation constitutes the first European thermal performance efficiency standard for evaporative cooling equipment (cooling towers).
