The first report on the revision of the 2016 GPP criteria for Office Buildings was released in March. The scope has been extended to all type of buildings and the criteria would be finalised by mid-2023.

PRODBIM, an initiative dedicated to supporting manufacturers through their content digitalisation and publication, has launched its new website. The website provides easy access to certified data in BIM software and exchanges.

GEN – 1362.00 informed about the development of an EU roadmap towards whole life carbon of buildings. At the end of March, the consultancy Ramboll, published “Towards embodied carbon benchmarks for buildings”. Pages 19 to 25 of this study provide an update on the situation in the Member States.

Within a package of European Green Deal proposal, the EC has adopted on 30 March 2022 the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Working Plan 2022-2024.

The European Commission DG TRADE, Unit E4 – Regulatory cooperation and public procurement, has launched this survey that runs until 3 April. Members are encouraged to participate so that the Commission is aware of the barriers the HVACR industry encounters outside Europe.
