Publication contains everything you need to know about Residential Heat Recovery Ventilation Units

Brussels, 14 September 2021. Eurovent’s Product Group ‘Residential Air Handling Units’ (PG-RAHU) has just published the first release of its Guidebook on Residential Heat Recovery Ventilation Units. On 44 pages, the free-of-charge publication provides a comprehensive overview of all essential information on this important technology. The Guidebook was prepared in cooperation with REHVA (Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Associations).

Eurovent is looking for a new Technical and Regulatory Affairs Officer! Eurovent is the European Industry Association for Indoor Climate (HVAC), Process Cooling, and Food Cold Chain Technologies. Our association acts as a bridge between our members and the EU institutions to enable safe and reliable heating, cooling, and ventilation technologies to contribute to the EU’s climate neutrality ambitions. We represent more than 1.000 organisations from over 30 countries, most of which are SMEs.

CEN and CENELEC have provided the European Commission with their suggestions on 79 topics. Of these, around 10 numbers relate to Eurovent. A few of the CEN and CENELEC comments are highlighted below.

The European Commission DG Environment proposed the Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) and Organisation Environmental Footprint (OEF) methods as a way of measuring environmental performance. The initial ideas were developed in the 2010s, under the 2020 Circular Economy Action Plan (CEAP) and the current consultation on the Sustainable Products Initiative (SPI). It looks like PEF may possibly fit in future legislation.
