Eurovent and Uniclima organise interactive forum for trends and developments in Industrial and Commercial Refrigeration, Process Cooling and Food Cold Chain

Brussels, Paris, 4 April 2017. The Eurovent Association and Uniclima have officially announced their event Refrigeration2030, which is going to take place on Wednesday, 17 May 2017, 10:00-16:00 (CET), in Paris, France. Refrigeration2030 constitutes an interactive forum for trends and developments in Industrial and Commercial Refrigeration, Process Cooling and Food Cold Chain. The event has received a wide support of the refrigeration sector and is organised in cooperation with AFCE, AFF, AICVF and PERIFEM. Speakers include leading sector representatives from around Europe.

The first edition provides for a hands-on introduction to air filters for general ventilation

Brussels, 3 April 2017. The Product Group ‘Air Filters’ within the Eurovent Association has released the first edition of its guidebook ‘Air Filters for General Ventilation’. On 28 pages, the document provides for a hands-on introduction to all important aspects related to air filters. It constitutes the first of many measures within Eurovent’s upcoming #IAQmatters awareness raising campaign.

Eurovent, ISKID, and VDMA hosted well perceived ‘Turkey in Europe’ Aircontec Reception during the ISH 2017 in Frankfurt

Frankfurt, 16 March 2017. During the ISH 2017 in Frankfurt, the Eurovent Association, ISKID (Turkey’s Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Manufacturers’ Association), and the Air Handling Technology Association within VDMA (German Engineering Association) welcomed leading industry representatives from Germany, Turkey and the EU to their ‘Turkey in Europe’ Aircontec Reception. Turkey was the official partner country of this year’s ISH.

European Ventilation Industry Association (EVIA) and Eurovent jointly provide new guidance to market on Ecodesign and Energy labelling rules for ventilation units

Brussels, 8 March 2017. The European Ventilation Industry Association (EVIA) and the Eurovent Association have come together to release the third edition of a joint comprehensive FAQ on Ecodesign and Energy labelling requirements for ventilation units. It aims to provide answers to the many questions the market still has concerning EU Regulations 1253/2014 and 1254/2014 to ensure their proper implementation.

Initiative received support of 92 leading European sectoral associations

Brussels, 16 February 2016. The Eurovent Association has co-signed the ‘Joint Declaration for an ambitious EU industry strategy’, in which 92 leading sectoral associations call for the European Union to implement a determined and coordinated strategy for Europe’s manufacturing sector. In the sector heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR), Eurovent, the Association of the European Heating Industry (EHI), and the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) supported this wide-ranging initiative.

Eurovent 4/21 (2016) enables transition towards ISO 16890 classification and testing methods

Brussels, 14 November 2016. The Eurovent association has released the second edition of its widely applied code of good practice Eurovent 4/21. The latter defines the energy efficiency evaluation of air filters for general ventilation purposes. As a first of its kind, Eurovent 4/21 (2016) implements classification and testing methods of the new EN ISO 16890. The first edition of Eurovent 4/21 (2014), which relates to the long-established EN 779 standard, will remain valid until 31 December 2017 in order to allow for a sufficient transition time towards the new ISO standard.

Eurovent 9/12 sets minimum energy efficiency targets for mechanical draught evaporative cooling products

Brussels, Nuremberg, 12 October 2016. During a dedicated specialist forum at the Chillventa 2016 on 11 October in Nuremberg, the Eurovent association has released Eurovent 9/12. This industry recommendation constitutes the first European thermal performance efficiency standard for evaporative cooling equipment (cooling towers).

Eurovent Recommendation 16/1 defines first air curtain testing and efficiency calculation methods

Brussels, Krakow, 10 October 2016. In the course of its 2016 Eurovent Summit, the Eurovent association has released the first edition of its air curtain standard. The code of good practice titled Eurovent 16/1 defines the first testing efficiency calculation method for air curtains. The document fills a standardisation gap, which has characterised these products for a long time. It defines the Air Curtains’ categories, standard rating conditions, and testing methods, and it can serve as input of how to calculate the buildings’ energy saving by using Air Curtains.

Representative of Danish manufacturer elected Chairman of newly-launched Product Group

Krakow, 4 October 2016. Mr Henning Grønbæk, RAHU Product Manager at Exhausto, a leading the manufacturer of comfort ventilation products and systems which has since June 2016 been a member of part of the French Aldes Group, was elected Chairman of the newly setup Product Group ‘Residential Air Handling Units’ (PG-RAHU) within the Eurovent association. More than 40 participants have joined the meeting during the Eurovent Summit, reflecting the increasing demand for a working group dedicated to this evolving residential indoor climate technology.

Eurovent and its member associations publish first European-wide Statement of Principles

Brussels, 27 June 2016. During the 2016 Eurovent Annual Meeting in Verona, the Eurovent Commission, the committee of national member associations, has finalised their first European-wide Statement of Principles on an industry that thinks ‘Beyond HVACR’. The document acts as a basis for decisions taken by the Eurovent association and is recognised by its member associations on a national level. It incorporates wider industry perspectives, statements on key policy issues, and visions that help to ensure a true level-playing field.
