Import tariffs are changing from January 2021: Prepare for the UK Global Tariff

The UK Department for International Trade has issued anew a message regarding the new UK import tariffs and trading rules, which will take effect in January 2021. The new UK Global Tariff will replace the EU’s Common External Tariff. These tariffs will be applied if there is no free trade agreement between the UK and the EU by 31 December.

European Commission issues revised notice to stakeholders

The European Commission has issued a revised readiness notice on F-Gases. Businesses are strongly advised to double-check their readiness with regards to quota allocations, reporting obligations, verification, representatives, and certified persons under the F-Gas Regulation.

Five European states invite evidence and information on the use of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) by 31 July 2020

National authorities of five countries (Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Denmark) invite interested parties to send in evidence and information on the use of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). The call for evidence request includes producers, suppliers and distributors. The survey is very broad, covering a wide range of substances and polymers, with the deadline on 31 July 2020.
