The Eurovent Product Groups ‘Air Conditioners’ (PG-AC) and ‘Liquid Chilling Packages and Heat Pumps’ (PG-LCP-HP) elected new Chairmen and Vice Chairmen, with a clear scope and timeline of activities. Mr Henk Kranenberg was separately elected Chairman of both Products Groups. He is joined by Vice Chairman Mr Stefano Vit (De’ Longhi) in the air conditioners group and Vice Chairman Mr Mariano Covolo (Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems S.p.A.) in the chillers group.
During its 63rd meeting, the General Assembly of the Eurovent Association defined a new vision for the future of the European HVACR industry. Mr Naci Sahin starts the final year of his second election term as President of Europe’s Industry Association for Indoor Climate (HVAC), Process Cooling, and Food Cold Chain Technologies.
Owing to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, the organisers of the EUROVENTSUMMIT have announced the postponement of its upcoming edition to 2021. Initially scheduled for September 2020, it will now take place from 12 to 15 October 2021 in Antalya, Turkey.

Eurovent will host a seminar at EuroShop 2020 titled ‘European Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Regulations for Commercial Refrigeration Equipment’ on 17 February 2020 from 14:00 to 16:30h in a meeting room at the CCD/Ost entrance, with the participation of the European Commission. The seminar will offer an introduction to the new Ecodesign and Energy Labelling requirements which enter into force next year.
Eurovent Middle East has published its Annual Report of 2019, looking back on its activities in its third year of existence. Started in January 2017 with 22 members, the association has grown to currently 46 members and in 2019 implemented dedicated working groups for technical and regulatory issues for Cooling, Air Treatment, Refrigeration and Evaporative Cooling. With the introduction of the ‘Copilot Certificate’ for building performance, Eurovent, REHVA and synavision set a new European standard for the construction industry. The signing of the agreement on 11 October paved the way for the launch of the world's first building and facility certificate. Builders use the certificate to ensure that their buildings undergo effective quality management.
From 2 to 5 October 2019, the Eurovent Association, Eurovent Middle East, and Eurovent Certita Certification are going to be at ISK-SODEX 2019 – one of the largest international exhibitions for HVACR, Pumps, Valves, Fittings, Water Treatment, and Insulation.
