Brussels, 21 September 2021. Eurovent has published a Recommendation focusing on factors influencing performance of Energy Recovery Components in Air Handling Units. This Code of Good Practice was developed in a joint effort by the participants of the Eurovent Product Group ‘Energy Recovery Components’ (PG-ERC).
Brussels, 14 September 2021. Eurovent’s Product Group ‘Residential Air Handling Units’ (PG-RAHU) has just published the first release of its Guidebook on Residential Heat Recovery Ventilation Units. On 44 pages, the free-of-charge publication provides a comprehensive overview of all essential information on this important technology. The Guidebook was prepared in cooperation with REHVA (Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Associations).
Brussels, 09 September 2021. The long awaited Eurovent Recommendation 6/16 has been published. Developed by the Eurovent product Group ‘Air Handling Units’ (PG-AHU), this Code of Good Practice focuses on the corrosion protection of Air Handling Units. The document is freely available to the public.
Eurovent and the Federation of Ibero-American Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Associations (FAIAR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding, underlining their commitment to greater harmonisation and stronger ties between Europe and Latin America.
The European Commission and Öko-Recherche recently presented the preliminary findings of the F-Gas review study. The study notably models the degree to which F-Gases could be substituted in RACHP equipment until 2050. Eurovent considers the substitution scenarios unrealistic and has expressed scepticism about the modelling assumptions used by the study consultant.
The ongoing COVID-19 outbreak already forced the postponement of the upcoming EUROVENTSUMMIT from September 2020 to October 2021. After carefully evaluating the situation, the organisers have decided that the Summit will be further postponed to 2022.
Brussels, Paris, Dubai, 19 May 2021. Eurovent, in cooperation with Eurovent Middle East and Eurovent Certita Certification, will host a dedicated webinar tailor-made for Africa, Middle East, India and Southeast Asia. The webinar will outline the importance of adherence to latest standards in air conditioning and ventilation. Special focus will be placed on the application of the newest air filtration standard ISO 16890, which has replaced EN 779 and other international standards in recent years.
During the 65th General Assembly, which was held online, the Eurovent members have elected Raul Corredera Haener (Systemair, Spain) as President of the Association. He succeeds Naci Sahin (FRITERM, Turkey), who was Eurovent President since 2018.
Brussels, 20 April 2021. Eurovent has become a member of the Cool Coalition, a global initiative led by the UN Environment Programme. The initiative aims to promote access to efficient, climate-friendly cooling for both industrialised and developing countries. Eurovent joins the network of more than 100 partners to help achieve better standards and regulations across the globe in support of the Coalition’s objectives.

During its recent online meeting, the Eurovent Product Group ‘Evaporative Cooling Equipment’ (PG-CT) elected Mr Frank Stocker (Managing Director, Gohl-KTK) as the successor of Mr Doic Hordern (CEO, JACIR) in the role of Vice-Chairman of the group. Mr Laurent Petiot (General Manager France Benelux Maghreb, BAC) continues as Chairman of PG-CT.
