As announced earlier this year, Eurovent Market Intelligence (EMI) has published a report focused on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the European HVACR market. The 93-page study provides a market forecast for 2020-2023 based on product type, country, application and project type. In order to safeguard the health and wellbeing of Eurovent members and partners during the COVID-19 pandemic, and to provide for certainty regarding planned meetings, it has been decided to continue hosting all Eurovent meetings virtually until the end of the calendar year. Further updates will be communicated to members in due time.

Eurostat, the statistical office for the EU, produces European statistics in partnership with National Statistical Institutes and other national authorities in the EU Member States. Recently, statistics accounting for impact of the COVID-19 outbreak have been added.

In order to help manufacturers gain certainty, Eurovent Market Intelligence (EMI) will publish a report analysing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the European HVACR industry at the end of September. The report will include results of a recently launched EMI survey targeting HVACR product manufacturers. The survey runs until 11 September 2020. Interested manufacturers are encouraged to participate.

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the International Energy Agency (IEA) have developed a 50-page report titled ‘Cooling Emissions and Policy Synthesis Report: Benefits of cooling efficiency and the Kigali Amendment’. The report highlights the growth of cooling appliances in numbers, addresses the COVID-19 estimated impacts and outlines six important opportunities identified under the K-CEP programme.
