Protection against explosion in fans is a very important issue for fan manufacturers. The present document, giving an exhaustive analysis of this question has been prepared by Prof. Dr. Hans Witt. The Eurovent Working Group 1 ‘Fans’ considered that it contains extremely useful information and it was proposed to publish it as a Eurovent document. The English translation was assured by W.T.W.
