Climate Abu Dhabi 2016 - Call for presenters

The ‘Climate Technology 2030’ Forum during the 2016 Climate Abu Dhabi is a hands-on, forward-looking seminar programme that brings additional value to manufacturers, building consultants, contractors, designers, planners, energy managers, public policy makers, and everyone else interested in the latest and upcoming developments concerning Indoor Climate (HVAC), Process Cooling, and Food Cold Chain Technologies. It incorporates the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 of ‘Creating a sustainable Emirate that protects resources for current and future generations’. As co-organisers, Climate Abu Dhabi and Eurovent are now looking for organisers of 30-minute presentations as well as 1-hour panel sessions. Are you interested in one of the two? Seminar time slots and schedule

The seminars will take place on 3 and 4 October 2016. In order to ensure a good positioning of each presenter and to allow different visitors on different exhibition days to attend the seminar programme, all presentation slots are recurring during different the two different seminar days. Solely the ‘Panel’ changes each day. Below you may find the different topics and time slots.

Call for organisers of 30-minute presentations and 1-hour panel sessions

As manufacturer, association, or other stakeholder, you have two options. Either you organise a 30-minute presentation (alone or together with a colleague), and give this presentation on 3 and 4 October - two days but at a different time - or you organise a 1-hour panel session with your organisation and provide for the theme, panellists, and discussion questions.

Presentations

Are you interested in giving a visionary and informative, non-commercial presentation, for example on the latest technology developments on how to improve the Indoor Air Quality and reduce the energy consumption by using a green ventilation system? Register now and choose the option 'Climate Technology 2030 - Presentation organiser'. You may find the different topics and timeslots in the schedule below.

Panel sessions

Are you interested in organising an interactive panel session, providing a variety of panellists whilst indirectly promoting your organisation to a global audience? Register then as 'Climate Technology 2030 - Panel organiser'.

Quality criteria

All seminars have to be in line with the following quality criteria. They shall…

• Incorporate new or upcoming state-of-the-art technological developments that stand out from the mass of solutions available on the market,
• Provide information on legislation/standards following the wider goal of harmonising the regulatory framework in the GCC region ensuring an international level-playing field,
• Not be a sales presentation, but provide an educational added-value to exhibition visitors,
• Not exceed 20 minutes in duration and allow for a 10-minute Q&A session,
• Have an attention-grabbing seminar title that, for instance, starts with ‘How to’ (e.g. How to make your air conditioner run in tough climate conditions?) or uses curiosity (e.g. Learn the three secrets of healthy indoor air).

The presentation shall be delivered as a PowerPoint file and fulfil the following requirements:

• 16:9 format to be used (not 4:3).
• Slides should be image and not text focussed. The text per slide should be reduced to a minimum.

The submission deadline is Friday, 12 August 2016. Eurovent and the exhibition organisers will then review all proposals and inform all registrants accordingly by Thursday, 18 August 2016.
