Brussels, Urtenen-Schönbühl, 8 January 2018. ProKlima, the Swiss association of air conditioning and ventilation manufacturers and suppliers, has formally joined the Eurovent Association on 1 January 2018. With the entry of ProKlima, more than 120 companies have joined Europe’s leading HVACR sector association.
ProKlima is Switzerland’s main body covering the national HVACR industry. The association is actively shaping legislation and standards on a national and canton level. On a regular basis, it organises well-known seminars and publishes high-quality guidebooks on HVACR technologies and their application. A core focus is being put on building ventilation.
Mr Ivan Oberti, President of ProKlima, states: “Joining the Eurovent Association is an important step forward for our association. It is one of our core aims to share our Swiss knowledge, quality ideals, and experiences with Europe’s HVACR sector. In the same way, we aim to positively contribute to the development of European Union legislation and standards, to which we have to largely comply although we are not an EU member state.”
Alex Rasmussen, President of the Eurovent Association, continued stating that “Switzerland is one of the world’s leading countries in terms of energy efficiency and building standards. We are very proud of welcoming the Swiss industry to our association family and look forward to new ideas, contributions, and state-of-the-art solutions.”
In the course of ProKlima joining Eurovent, all ventilation-related Product Group meetings in the first half of 2018 are going to take place in Switzerland. Interested organisations are welcome to join these meetings and can contact the Eurovent or ProKlima Secretariat for additional information.
