GEN - 1176.00. The European Parliament services have produced a briefing, providing a summary of the recent economic developments in the EU Member States and an overview of relevant economic projections forecasted by major international and EU institutions, as impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This October update will be followed by another one in November.
Economic developments
At the level of the European Parliament, closer follow-up of the COVID-19 pandemic is taking shape in the form of 5-10-page briefings that give an overview of the situation. While it is not possible to single out the HVACR industry as such, the overview gives a good impression of what is happening and what could be forecasted.
Commission response to coronavirus
The European Commission is meanwhile continuously updating its website with the measures it is taking to tackle the coronavirus. These are grouped on its website under 10 headings:
