Scope: | The Eurovent Product Group ‘Rooftop Units’ covers air-to-air air conditioners or heat pumps driven by an electric compressor, of which the evaporator, compressor and condenser are integrated into a single package. This mature technology is widely deployed in Europe, especially in Spain, France, Italy, and Türkiye. This Product Group is engaged with European and national legislation, namely Regulation (EU) 2016/2281 with regard to Ecodesign requirements for air heating products, cooling products, high temperature process chillers and fan coil units. It is also concerned with the development of EN, ISO and Eurovent standards and deals with general promotion of the industry. Another task of this Product Group is regulation of export initiatives and diminishment of unfair trade barriers inside and outside Europe. The group is supported by Eurovent Member Associations on a national level. The Group does not deal with certification. |
