Brussels, 24 May 2024. The 68th Eurovent Annual Meeting has concluded with Raul Corredera Haener re-elected as the association’s President, and Henk Kranenberg as Vice-President. The General Assembly nominated four new members to join the Board of Directors.

This year’s Eurovent Annual Meeting was open to all members, to create an inclusive platform to review and exchange ideas on the activities of the association. The Annual Meeting included presentations from the European Commission’s DG ENER on the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) recast and the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR). These presentations were followed by a panel discussion on the competitiveness of European manufacturing, which engaged leaders from some of the most important national and European stakeholders on these topics.

The Eurovent members had the opportunity to engage with one another during the policy panel and working group presentations on the performances and future engagements and programs to be implemented. Regarding the new structure, the Eurovent Secretary General Francesco Scuderi stated: “This openness underscores our commitment to listening to the needs of our members and harmonising the Eurovent vision with the evolving landscape of our industry. We want our members to see Eurovent not as a distant entity, but as their preferred partner in this collective journey.”

During the Eurovent Board of Directors meeting, the Board Members re-elected Raul Corredera Haener (Systemair, Spain) as President of the association. He will serve for another three-year term. He was initially elected in 2021 during the 65th General Assembly. The President will continue to be supported in the next term by the re-elected Vice-President, Henk Kranenberg (Daikin, Netherlands). In addition, the Board now consists of the following members (ordered in alphabetical order by last name):

  • Mr Ozan Atasoy (AiolosAir, Turkiye)
  • Mr Mikael Borjesson (Swegon, Sweden)
  • Mr Mariano Covolo (MEHITS, Italy)
  • Mr Peter Hartmann (Exhausto, Denmark) – New Board Member
  • Mr David Jacobs (Baltimore Aircoil Company, Belgium)
  • Mr Eric Jasikas (Carrier, France)
  • Mr Jan-Erik Kleven (Camfil, Norway)
  • Mr Joonas Lius (Koja, Finland) – New Board Member
  • Mr Lennart Ostergaard (VELTEK Ventilation, Denmark) – Borne Board Member
  • Mr Karl Palmstorfer (TROX, Germany) – New Board Member
  • Ms Marta San Roman (AFEC, Spain) – Borne Board Member
  • Mr Pedro Silva (ARFIT, Portugal) – New Board Member

After his re-election as President, Raul Corredera Haener stated: “I am honoured to continue serving as Eurovent’s President for another term. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all members for their valuable contributions and active participation during our Annual Meeting in shaping our future strategy and activities. I would also like to thank my employer, Systemair, for supporting my commitment to our European industry.

Over the next three years, following our association’s extensive and successful transformation, we will focus on three key pillars: Collaborate, Digitise, and Invest to Grow. We will collaborate to forge strategic partnerships across Europe and internationally. Our presence and advocacy efforts in Brussels will be significantly strengthened in line with our overall mission to foster a level playing field based on innovation, sustainability, and energy efficiency.

We will embark on a digital transformation journey, further digitising our internal operations and opening up to new business segments with more opportunities. Our focus will be on creating environments where our industry can prosper and expand. We will invest to grow the association and provide even more value to our members.”

During the General Assembly, the Eurovent Secretariat presented the Eurovent Annual Report 2023-2024, detailing the association’s performance and operations in the 2023-2024 reporting period. In parallel, the working group Chairpersons provided presentations on the ongoing activities of each group, giving insights into its operations and future outlooks.
